Friend and fellow designer Libby (you really need a website/blog Lib so I can link to you) sent this along today. Worth checking out. If you’re a designer wanting to make an impact and have some free time could be worth a shot.
Enjoy!

Pretty crazy that I would choose today to wear this shirt by friend and amazing illustrator Justin Gerard of Portland Studios and also receive an e-newsletter from these folks featuring a designer from Guadalaraja, Mexico who happened to be wearing the exact same shirt.
Looks like Justin’s talent is crossing borders and making waves. Way to go dude.
“For me, drawing has been the most fundamental way of engaging the world. I’m convinced that it is only through drawing that I actually look at things carefully, and the act of drawing makes me conscious of what I’m looking at. If I wasn’t drawing, I sense that I would not be seeing.” - Milton Glaser
Inspiring. I need to draw more.

“Review our 100 best of the best! These folks whatever their disciplines create memorable and dazzling projects, taking us to uncharted territories where imagination, skill, talent abide - inciting us to keep pushing forward.”
If you don’t regularly check netdiver, then this is a great way to catch what you may have missed last year.
I found this that I missed last year. Amazing flash work. Some of these would make pretty impressive design tools.

daileycrafton.com is now daileycrafton.NET
meaning his blog is now at daileycrafton.net/blog
make the switch to keep up with the print design goodness.

Since featuring him here, Alex Trochut’s Lorem Ipsum designs have been noticed by the Threadless guys and gals and now his awesome type design is available in the ever popular t-shirt form.
Gotta get me one of those.
Great job Alex!

“If you fail to capture the insights from each member of the team, then you are actually LOSING value.” - behance
An all too true post from the Behance team and a much needed warning to all of those “creative visionaries” out there. If you’re a leader of a creative team or even just part of a creative team, then take these words to heart.
Thanks Behance.

Despite my confusion of the practicality of Apple’s newest addition, the macbook air, the products surrounding its claim to “fit in an envelope” has inspired some pretty cool products. Check out this case by Studio Leung. Or if a pouch is more your thing, this one is a near exact replica of a manila envelope.

Lily Pottery is now live. We began this project a few months back, but it’s finally up and running. I designed the main site structure and helped with a bit of the styling. Corie Slate did the programming. Corie was able to set up the entire site using WordPress as a content management system (CMS) so that Lily and her husband can update the site at will. I was very excited to see it all come together.
Check it out, buy some cool jewelry, and be looking for some more great stuff from Lily coming soon.
